April 17, 2018 - San Diego, CA --- Brad McLaughlin, The CEO of top online cannabis marketplace BudTrader.com, will hold a diplomatic meeting with former President of Mexico Vicente Fox in San Diego on Wednesday April 18th. The two are slated to discuss international affairs, focusing primarily on the legal cannabis industry and cannabis reform as it affects both the United States and Mexico.
Another reason for President Fox’s trip to San Diego is to invite the cannabis tech CEO to his CANNAMEXICO World Summit, taking place in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico on May 30th and 31st, as a liaison and representative of the U.S. legal cannabis industry. McLaughlin is a technology and cannabis expert and has served as the de facto spokesman for the legal cannabis community in the United States since taking the helm at BudTrader.com in 2016. BudTrader.com is the largest online cannabis platform with over one million registered users in 29 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and Canada.
“I am honored to be meeting with President Fox,” says McLaughlin. “This is a historic meeting and an important meeting for the cannabis industry both here in the US and in Mexico”.
This is not McLaughlin’s first foray into diplomatic relations at the helm of BudTrader.com. Last year, McLaughlin created a commotion in Sacramento when he invited Governor Jerry Brown to last year’s BudTrader Ball, which took place in San Diego, CA. Governor Brown’s office said the Governor regretfully not able to attend, but did thank McLaughlin for the invitation.
